Jack pics for Noelle Beck (and anyone else)

Jack at the Bottger Memorial Day party.

Jack loves his chair from
Aunt Laura and Uncle Paul.

One day we looked over at jack and this is
what we saw. He does this every day now.

Aunt Mindy just loves this pic. She thinks we
should send it in to some contest and win a
lot of free diapers or something like that.

After buying Jack his first pair of
shoes, he and dad go for a walk.

The new shoes.

Jack and Grandpa Bottger on the John
Deere at the Memorial Day party.

Jack with Grandpa O playing on the stairs
at Aunt Mindy and Uncle Jake’s house.

This past weekend, we went for a ride
in Grandpa Bottgers Mustang convertable.
See the movie in the post below.

A Quick Thought About Blogging

Monday, July 3rd, 2006

Why do we all feel guilty for not posting often enough. What is “often enough” by the way? I say we just post when we can, no appologies. : ) What do you think?

p.s. I think I posted twice because I feel guilty for not posting.

HOUSES SOLD!!

Monday, July 3rd, 2006

I am happy to announce that we not only sold our house in Akron, but also are under contract to purchase a house in Madison Heights, Michigan. If you click here you can see the exact location of said house. Click on the “Satelite” or “Hybrid” tab and you can see a satelite image of the property.

If a satelite image just isn’t satisfying your curiosity, here is another one.

We are very excited at the oportunity to purchase this home even though it has a totally retro 70’s kitchen in really good shape. :)

Anyone want some avacado green kitchen appliances? : )

Although we have enjoyed living with Jana (The girl we have been staying with for the last 9 months) and are so grateful to her for opening her home to us, we are excited to find a place of our own.
But even more so, we are so fortunate to have sold our house in Akron with the market so saturated with homes for sale. I thank God that someone came along who wanted to have our old home be their new home. I am sure they will make it better than we ever could.

Getting back to our new house . . . We will be closing at the end of July if all goes well. Our home inspection was today. It went very well, no real big surprises. But if you ever want to feel bad about what you should be doing to upkeep your home, have it inspected. There is basically one main rule . .. water is the ENEMY and do everything you can to keep it out. (Those of you who have gone through a home inspection know what i am talking about)

Other highlights to our potential new home . . .

  • Lime green tub, sink & toilet with bright yello tile in the bathroom
  • wood burning stove in the basement
  • 2 car garage
  • 1073 square feet
  • front sprinkler system
  • Dark, Dark, DARK brown kitchen cabinets (They remind me of Parasons on Main St. in North Hill
  • Porcilin chiili peppeers hanging in the kitchen
  • A portable dish washer. (Avacodo Green to match the rest of the appliances)
  • Red brick colored lenoleum
  • Natical themed half bathroom
  • 3 bedrooms
  • 40+ years of National Geographics. : )

Well, that is it for now. We really are excited and hope that we can close on this house. You all are invited to come up now that we have a place. IF things go as planned we will be moving in the first weekend in Aug.

till next time,
Derrak

p.s. Be looking for more house pictures in the future. I will set up a gallery on flickr.

p.s.s. This is for Noelle Beck. I will post some more pictures of jack soon. He is walking now and enjoys wrestling with dad!! (that is a teaser for ya)
