One thing I learned today

Today I discovered the 7th most visited website in the world. It is called craigslist.com. Basically it is online classifieds for most major cities in the U.S. and beyond. For most it is free to post, and it is free for everyone to read! WOW, how have I never herd about this? It is nothing flashy but a pretty neat thing. You should check it out. It has everything.

Has anyone else herd about this before? Let me know in the comments section if you have. Maybe I am the last to know on this one.

You’re probably not the last, but since it is the 7th most visited site in the world, you may be runner up for last. :-) Okay, seriously, I’ve heard great things about cragslist. From it’s “anti-ad” attitude (which is refreshing) to the quality it provides. Colleen has been more involved in using it than I have

We first heard about it when we moved out here to Portland. A lot of the people here use it regularly. Although we have not used it for more than just searching. It is pretty amazing to hear from our friends some of the fast responses that they get when they post on craigslist.

Wow–that surprises me coming from you, Derrak, you’re slipping!

I’ve been looking at it a lot both for a house and for gigs. No luck with either yet, but it’s still fun to browse.

Craigslist rocks! Here in DC we have gotten furniture from it and my roommate found her current job on it. And… a good friend of mine - her niece is dating “Craig” who created it. He’s a smart guy!

I’ve heard of it and made a short visit once, but haven’t really used it yet. Maybe I will go explore right now :)
