Well, we have begun the first steps in moving. After a long weekend of cleaning, small improvements, and a new floor in the bathroom we have fianlly gotten our house on the market. It is very surreal to think that in 3 weeks we will be moving our whole life to Detroit, MI. I really have grown to love Akron, but even more so have many really good friends here. They will be what is hardest to leave behind.

Well enogh of that for now. I will be sure to post more on our moving experiences in the near future. As for now we will continue to pack, look for a new place to live, catch up with all the people we need to before we leave, and visit all those uniqely Akron restaurants.

Derrak

We are excited to let you all know some big news. In a few short weeks, we will be relocating to Michigan. Derrak will be starting a new job as a Creative Director
at Kensington Community Church, working with the Middle & High School Ministry. We will be heading toward Troy, MI the first week of October. So the next few weeks will be busy ones packing and getting ready to go! Feel free to visit the Church’s website. And let us know if you’ve got some time to help us load up the moving truck!

Jackson is doing wonderfully. Now I understand why people say “growing like a weed”. On occasion I cry because he’s growing so fast. He rolls all over, is almost sitting up by himself, and is INCREDIBLY social. Next week he’ll be shaving. We are savoring each day with him and LOVE watching him learn and grow. I try to soak up each precious moment with him.
