This is a picture of one of the meals we had while visiting the Shaws in North Carolina this past weekend. Melanie thinks it is strange that i am posting this, but I really like it and think that my fellow bloggers will appreciate it. (If you look closely you can see the steam rising off of the lasagna. It was fresh out of the oven.)

Anyway, this trip was our first family vacation and we had a blast. Jackson did great in the car, which was awesome. We borrowed my parents minivan, and after years of swearing to never get one, I think I have folded. You would not believe how much better it is to travel in one of those. So be looking for the Ostovics to aquire a “grocery getter” in the near future.

We spent the whole week at Scott and Alisa Shaw’s house and tooling around their ciy Raliegh. They are two of our closest friends. One of those friendships that distance will never affect. They have one daughter, Ella and a newborn son Elijah who is only eleven days younger than Jack. That is really fun for us.

We didn’t do anything special while there. Mostly hanging out, catching up and a little shopping. The weather was actually warmer back home, but we still got a lot of sunshine.

I have posted pictures from our trip. If you would like to check them out click here.

well that is all for now. till next time.

You will find a link to it on the sidebar under “other blogs we read”, but dont get your hopes up, he really doesn’t update it much. (just having some fun scott.) :)

We finally got a smile on a pic. This particular pic was taken during our vacation to visit the shaws in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Melanie and I kind of think he is one of the cutest babies in the whole world, but . . . . we are his parents. Actually right now he is crying a lot. We are starting to put him on a shcedule and he really doesn’t like it tonight. Oh well, I guess this is one of the first times we can say we know what is best for him even if he doesn’t. I wonder how many times i will think that in the next 20 years. : )

Anyway, everything else is going great. Jackson has his 2 month check up on Monday, even though he is now over 9 weeks.

I am sure you will get an update from mel then. speaking of mel, she will be going back to work May 16th. Which will be yet another adjustment but also the start of DADDY DAY! that is right, eveery Monday it will be me and the boy while mel works. I am planning a fishing trip for the first one. Do you think he is ready?

well that is all for now. I hope all is well in your end of the bloggerworld.

well isn’t this picture just something! I love it. Bath time is always a fun experience filled with lots of surprises. Recently I had my first solo run giving Jack his bath. I LOVED IT, and he really did get clean. : )

The latest on Jack . . .
1. He has discovered his hands, and I think he is puzzled by them. At least that is what his face looks like when he sees them.

2. He likes to be fussy in the afternoons.

3. He still sleeps really well, and eats like a champ.

4. Melanie is the greates mom in the world. (at least I think so)

5. Jack is now into his 3-6 month old cloths at the ripe age of 6 weeks!

6. I knw all of you have been waiting for this . . . . You can now e-mail Jack. YES IT IS TRUE! Not only do you get a birth certificate and social security number when you are born, but these days you also get an e-mail address!!!! OH and Jack loves to get and send e-mail so send your messages. His e-mail address is . . . jostovic@sbcglobal.net
